Ward I Commissioner Harold Smith is a lifelong resident of Manatee County, having been born and raised here. He is a graduate of Palmetto High School.
Commissioner Smith is the owner of Smitty’s Bail Bonds. He is a board member of Manatee Harvesting Company, Inc., a silver lifetime member of the NAACP and a member of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.
He was elected to a four-year term as the Ward I commissioner in November 2014.
