The City of Palmetto’s Utility Billing Division is primarily responsible for billing and servicing the city's water, sewer and garbage residential and commercial accounts. Our Customer Service Department is committed to providing our customers with the best experience possible. Representatives are available to assist you in person or by phone, and account service options are available online 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We’re here to help!
Start new service:
All new utilities accounts are set-up in person at City Hall and require the following documentations listed below:
1. Completed, dated and signed service application:
Application in English
Application in Spanish
2. Proof of ownership/authorization (HUD, Final Settlement Statement, Warranty Deed or Valid Lease/Rental Agreement).
3. Copy of valid applicant’s government-issued Identification; such as State Driver License, Passport, etc.
4. Deposit amount will vary depending on the size of the meter. Residential customers
with 3/4" meter require a deposit of $175.00. Commercial meter deposits will vary--
speak with a customer service representative for more details.
Utility accounts are billed once a month and are due within 21 days of the billing date. In order to prevent interruption of service and avoid a10% late fee, payments should be made by the due date printed on the bill.

• For account billing or payment questions:
You can now service your account anywhere, anytime! Visit our website to access your water services account, and pay your bill online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For your convenience, we accept Debit, VISA, MasterCard, Discover and electronic checks. Simply visit www.palmettofl.org

To disconnect service, you may submit your request in person, by mail, or by phone. Please provide your name, account number and/or service address, updated contact information and move-out date. You may be required to provide supporting documentation if you have sold your property.
